Regular inspection and performance assessment of all fire safety measures is the important first step in ensuring fire safety in your building. For most strata schemes, fire equipment inspections are also required under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation (2000).

Civil Fire is a Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme (FPAS) recognised business (Inspect & Test), meaning our skills and knowledge in the field of fire protection work have been officially recognised by the industry’s national accreditation system.

Our thorough inspection and testing schedules cover a broad range of fire safety equipment and include a report which details any performance defects found. It is crucial that any defects are repaired by qualified technicians.

To achieve compliance, a building may need to be inspected several times each year.

Inspection frequencies for common fire safety measures are outlined in the table below:
